Couplers

For couplers I use Kadee #158. I usually buy the 50 pair packs (100 couplers) for better value and use them over time.

Wheels

I use the Walthers 33" and 36" wheels. They are easy to paint, run great, and come in bulk packs of 100. The image below shows the diameter and flange diameter in mm. Remember, wheels are tapered, so the smaller dimension is the average wheel diameter or the ideal 36" conversion.

When making trucks I use the following dimensions to hold the wheels. I will also add a drop of Labelle 108 lightweight plastic-safe oil to help lubricate and reduce friction in the wheel.
